Creative Commons

Use Creative Commons (http://search.creativecommons.org/) to locate copyright-friendly images. Be sure to check the license to make sure you have permission to re-publish.

Usually, you can cite your images this way:

Artist/Photographer. Name of photo. Year taken. Photograph. Name of website where published. Name of sponsoring organization. Date posted to the web. Date you accessed photo.URL of photo.

Example:

Johnson, Brian. Dark Alley. 2005. Photograph. Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia, 23 Nov. 2005. Web. 31 Oct. 2011. <http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Noalleynight.jpg>.

You can use EasyBib (http://www.easybib.com) to cite your sources, too. Just click on the "All 58 Options" tab to find the form for photos.
